During one of Carolina A. Herreras trips to the United Arab Emirates, she had the privilege of attending an oud burning ceremonyan experience that changed her understanding of perfumery forever. In this time honored ritual, the wood of the agarwood tree is burnt to release its fragrant resin, filling the room with a sweet and intense perfume. True Oud recreates this sacred ceremony and celebrates one of the most precious and fascinating ingredients in the world.
